Park View Elementary School

Welcome to Park View Elementary School.  We hope that you find our new website to be both informative and enjoyable.  Parents should check the website regularly for important information regarding upcoming events as well as photographs of past learning experiences. Park View is an incredible learning place for students in Kindergarten through Third Grade.

 Park View serves as a foundation of learning for students in reading, writing, math, science and social studies.  Teachers instruct students using a balanced literacy approach to reading. In this way, students learn vital reading skills at the same time that they develop the ability to express themselves through writing. We also use a phonics program named Fundations to develop letter sound recognition in the primary grades.  Our math curriculum is Pearson’s Envision Math 2.0. Parents will find the website and parent resources useful at home as you work with your child.  Compass Learning is a tremendous on-line resource for parents to work with your child at home on reading and math. We regularly monitor student growth at Park View through assessments such as STAR and Fountas and Pinnell benchmarks.  Information gathered from these assessment as well as classwork, helps us inform our instruction specific to your child’s needs.

Parent involvement at Park View is unequaled.  The school PFA (Parent Faculty Association) provide students with a variety of fun and exciting events throughout the school year. PFA sponsored events are important to the positive culture of our school. The PFA also conducts fundraisers which benefit the students in terms of technology, school carnival, library books, and much more.

It has been said that Park View runs on “Love, Laughter, and lots of Disney.”  It is true that we love our students, have fun, and work tirelessly each day to develop strong learners.
